What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a gentle yet highly effective system of medicine, making it ideal for people of all ages.  Homeopathy recognizes that symptoms of ill health are unique to the individual, and treat the person not the disease. It may be used to treat illness and to raise the overall health of the person on the physical, mental and emotional levels.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine based on treating the individual with remedies which trigger the body's natural system of healing. The homeopathy will match the most appropriate medicine to the patient based on the totality of their symptoms. This medical system was developed by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, in 1796 and has been used world wide ever since.

Homeopathic remedies are a non-toxic and environmentally friendly green medicines.  They are made in accordance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States.  Remedies are available as over the counter medicine. There are no known contraindications or drug interactions between homeopathic and conventional medicines. 

 Homeopathy is growing in popularity in the United States. It is currently used by millions of people across the planet. In countries such as France, homeopathy is an officially recognized component of the conventional medical system, used as the first line of defense. Homeopathy is found in many other countries such as Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Brazil and others.

 

First visit

Homeopathy recognizes the importance of considering the individual as a whole at any age. At the first consultation (usually lasting two hours) I will ask about all aspects of your health. Your medical history, diet, personality type and all recent symptoms are of importance. This information will be used to carefully select a remedy based on your unique symptoms and health history.
